Grants Officer
Location: Flexible / Hybrid Working

Help us ensure no one has to face a mental health problem alone.
South Kent Mind is seeking a motivated and organised Grants Officer to support the growth of sustainable funding for our mental health services across local communities.
In this role, you will research funding opportunities and write high-quality grant applications to trusts, foundations, statutory bodies, and other grant-makers. Working closely with the CEO and project teams, you will help translate our services, outcomes, and impact into compelling proposals that secure funding to sustain and expand our work.
Key Responsibilities
- Research funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, local authorities, NHS Integrated Care Boards, and the National Lottery Community Fund
- Maintain a funding pipeline of opportunities, deadlines, and reporting requirements
- Write clear and compelling grant applications, expressions of interest, and supporting documents
- Work with colleagues to gather project information, budgets, and impact data
- Submit applications and manage post-award reporting
- Maintain accurate records of applications and outcomes
About You
You will be an excellent writer with strong research and organisational skills, able to manage multiple deadlines and build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You will also have a genuine interest in supporting mental health and community wellbeing.
Experience in grant writing or fundraising for UK charities and familiarity with funders such as BBC Children in Need is desirable but not essential.

Overview: South Kent Mind is looking for a group of keen volunteers to cover stands at events, to fundraise for us at events and in supermarkets and to generally help out with getting our name out into as much of the South Kent community as possible.
