Fundraising Officer

Folkestone (with local travel) | 35 hours per week | From £27,000 pro rata 

Join South Kent Mind and help make a real difference 

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Fundraising Officer to join our team at an exciting time of growth. 

At South Kent Mind, our mission is simple: to ensure no one in South Kent has to face a mental health challenge alone. To achieve this, we rely on the vital support of our community, partners and fundraisers—and this role will play a key part in helping us grow that support. 

About the role 

Working closely with our Head of Income, you’ll help plan, develop and deliver a wide range of fundraising activities. From community events and corporate partnerships to digital campaigns and social media content, this is a varied, hands-on role with plenty of opportunity to bring your own ideas to life. 

You’ll support the growth of our income by: 

  • Helping deliver engaging fundraising events and campaigns
  • Building relationships with local businesses and supporters
  • Creating compelling digital content and boosting our online presence
  • Developing new ideas and opportunities to increase income and engagement 

About you 

We’re looking for someone who is: 

  • Creative, organised and full of initiative
  • A confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
  • Interested in social media, marketing and digital engagement
  • Passionate about making a difference in their local community

  • Location: SKM Centre, Folkestone (with local travel – own car required)
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Salary: From £27,000 per annum (pro rata, depending on experience)
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Holidays: 28 days per year (including bank holidays, pro rata)

Overview: South Kent Mind is looking for a group of keen volunteers to cover stands at events, to fundraise for us at events and in supermarkets and to generally help out with getting our name out into as much of the South Kent community as possible.
