Volunteering at our charity shops is a fantastic way to support South Kent Mind and the services we deliver. It is thanks to our shop volunteers that we continually raise awareness of mental health support in South Kent.
South Kent Mind is a good cause and an important asset for the local community. I have been a volunteer in the Hythe shop for nearly 4 years and really enjoy the experience.
The shop is extremely well managed with a constant emphasis on a steady flow of donations.
There is a very friendly team of volunteers of various ages and backgrounds.”

“I have been volunteering for South Kent Mind for 5 years. The reason I chose South Kent Mind to volunteer is because all the money raised is for local people.
South Kent Mind is like a family, we all get on and help one another. Our manager is kind and friendly and very supportive.
I enjoy each week seeing the new items that have come into the shop and chatting to the customers.”

“I have been volunteering for South Kent Mind whilst working full-time. I have gained confidence and have more self-esteem, and I really enjoy working with the public.
I have also participated in fundraising events to raise vital funds for South Kent Mind.”

Hythe Shop Volunteer
“I started volunteering for South Kent Mind after my dear mum had passed. I felt I needed to go out, do something and have a purpose for living again.
I thoroughly enjoy my time working at the Hythe Shop and it helps me in more ways than one. It’s given me the knowledge, support, and confidence to deal with issues that I previously have left alone.
I’m so pleased to call everyone at the Hythe Shop ‘my friends’.”
