Mental Elf 2025 – Thank You!

We are thrilled to share the huge success of this year’s Mental Elf Fun Run, held on Sunday 7th December along The Leas in Folkestone. Our second ever Mental Elf was our biggest yet, with double the number of participants compared to last year and a fundraising total that completely smashed our target!

The atmosphere was full of festive cheer as families, runners, walkers, and plenty of elves came together to support mental health in our community. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, donated, volunteered, or cheered from the sidelines. Your support made this such a memorable and heart-warming event.

A huge thank you to:

• Kevin Daly, our fantastic DJ and compere, who kept the energy high from start to finish.
• Folkestone Running and Athletics Club, for their ongoing support in promoting the event and championing our charity over the past year.
• Channel Rotary volunteers, whose help on the day marshalling the course was invaluable.
• Sandgate Primary School for joining us in such brilliant festive spirit.
• Our wonderful South Kent Mind volunteers, staff, and Trustees, without whom this event simply wouldn’t be possible.
• Holiday Extras, for generously sponsoring our medals and race numbers.
• Saga, for sponsoring the goody bags that made so many children smile.

We would also like to give special thanks to our local MP and former South Kent Mind Trustee, Tony Vaughan, who delivered an inspiring speech and officially started the run. His continued support for our charity and our mission means so much.

Mental Elf 2025 was a celebration of community, kindness, and shared commitment to better mental health for all. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success, we can’t wait to welcome you back next year on Sunday 6th December 2026 for our third year of Mental Elf!
