The campaign is raising funds to support South Kent Mind and other charities across Folkestone.

Let’s Move a Million Miles for Charity is run by local people and led by the Channel Rotary. The campaign aims to raise funds through activities to support the work of South Kent Mind, The Rainbow Centre, the Shepway Sports Trust, and the Rotary Club’s own hardship/kindness fund.

The campaign is all about our local community – encouraging people to get out and about for our mental and physical health. The main aim is to get everybody moving, hopefully to reach one million miles across this Summer 2023. This can be done by walking, running, swimming, cycling, gardening, or any other movement indoors or outdoors.

South Kent Mind are very proud to be involved in this great initiative. Taking the time to exercise and move our bodies can be very beneficial for looking after our mental health and wellbeing. We offer regular activities such as walks, yoga, and running for beginners, all of which are great ways to improve your mental health.
